E BIKE TO MANGONUI
Hire one of the two e-bikes available now at Golden Sand Beachfront Accommodation and ride to Mangonui for a coffee or for the more adventurous, bike up the Peria Valley to the Bush Fairy Dairy.
At Golden Sand Beachfront Accommodation we are keen e-bikers. Often seen on the local roads, we frequently go to the shops on the bike ( panniers help bring home the goodies) or up Peria Valley or to Tokerau Beach, over the Aurere hills.
You can hire one of the two e-bikes available now at Golden Sand Beachfront Accommodation and have a fun trip to Mangonui. We did it on a sunny Saturday, checked out the market, got some great sauce and loaded into our saddle bags and whoosh we were off! Having the electric part of the cycle do the hard work for you is great! Stopped at Little Kitchen for a coffee and then off to the local dress shops to pick up a bargain! I found a great summer dress to wear. Then we went scooting up the by-pass and back to Cable Bay.
Another easy bike ride is up the Peria Valley - inland from Taipa - and sample a Rush Monroe ice cream from the Bush Fairy Dairy.
Electric bikes are so freeing – travel without much effort and you can get to the shops or local excursions with a minimum of fuss. I have also ridden to Whatuwhiwhi and back – about 60 km round trip and it was great.
You have to keep pedalling for the battery to kick in and you have gears to keep your cadence at an even speed but give it a go!
